Special Correspondent, Mumbai Mirror, India

May 2005 – July 2006

Launched in May, 2005, Mumbai Mirror, Times of India’s debutante compact format in Mumbai, achieves circulation of over 600,000 English language readers in the city

Responsible for the daily editorial production of the opinion/edit page and four news features pages.
Additional responsibility for production of weekend magazine, Buzz. It included commissioning articles to columnists, assigning stories to reporters, chasing up copies, editing, liaising with the photographers and graphic designers as well as sourcing visuals from the photo library, referencing on the articles, doing layouts and making pages using Quark Xpress, proofing the final pages and sending them for printing.

Achievements: Key member of the production team comprising 15 members including sub-editors, reporters, photographers and graphic designers; managing startup operational challenges, while maintaining quality and performance levels. Ownership of key editorial production components; deliverables include developing and building content aimed at key audience segments.
